Hi, my name is George Batton, and welcome to my website.  I have had an interest in tech for the past 18 years, but never pursued it due to various life circumstances and obstacles.  I previously worked in health insurance and cable internet support for over 10 years. 

After graduating from high school in 2000, I joined the United States Marine Corps and deployed to Iraq for two separate tours in 2004 and 2005.  I am a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Fabio Santos and originally wanted to open my own martial arts school.  I try to be a good and humble servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and am currently a member of Harrison Hills Baptist Church. 

I have been working as a FedEx delivery driver since 2021, and I felt a calling last year to pursue a career in IT and networking.  I decided to dedicate myself to becoming CCNA certified.  Eight months and hundreds of hours of frustration later, I finally took the test and became certified.  I consider myself to be a regular Joe. I can relate to many of you who are feeling overwhelmed and struggling to get into this field.  I hope this website will help many like myself who find these subjects challenging and want an additional resource to supplement their learning.
